Cable Reeling Drum
POWERMECH offers Cable reeling drum, Spring operated cable reeling drum, Hose Reeling Drum, Stall torque motorized cable reeling drum and Sprocket driven cable reeling drum for winding or rewinding cable in moving machinery, EOT Cranes, Gantry cranes, Electric hoists, Galvanising process plant, Phosphating process plant, transfer car, transfer trolleys and various type of material handling equipment. Spare springs are also supplied to models of Elektromag, Electro Flux, OEPL, Orton, Mitool, Cranetech, Elecon, Speedocontrols, and various models / types used in EOT Cranes, Hoists, Transfer cars and Transfer trolleys.

Spring operated cable reeling drums helps supply power to machines such as Cranes, hoists, travelling trolley and are suitable for both A.C. & D.C. applications.
These drums wind and unwind cable on the drum and are used in horizontal and vertical operations in applications such as EOT Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Lifting Magnets, Moving machines, Travelling trolley, Stacker, Reclaimer etc.
The springs used in these drums are of high quality spring steel material (EN-42J).
The power slip rings are designed for 600 V.A.C.
Note: Cable is not supplied along with cable reeling drum and the same is buyers scope.
Also, Spare Spring, Carbon Brushes and Slip Rings can be supplied for Electromag Cable Reeling Drum of following models:

HORIZONTAL RECOVERY:
The cable winding or unwinding is done by End Feed or Centre Feed.
In the End Feed type, the Cable reeling drum is mounted on the moving machine and the reel recovers the cable laid on the ground. Here the machine travel is equal to the capacity of the reel.
In the Centre Feed type, the machine travels on both sides of the fixed point, where a Turnover Anchor is installed. This arrangement provides travel equal to twice the capacity of the reel.
VERTICAL RECOVERY:
In this type also the reel is machine mounted and the biggest advantage of this type is that it does not have to pull the weight of the cable since, in this case the complete weight of the cable is felt at the fixed point.
HORIZONTAL CATENARY:
In this type of arrangement. the cable is not laid on the ground but is suspended in the air due to the tension of the spring.
VERTICAL PULL:
Here the reel is mounted on a fixed structure and has to overcome the weight of the hose. The length of travel is equivalent to the capacity of the reel.

Sprocket driven cable reeling drums are suitable for avoiding tension on the cable. These drums are driven by means of chain and sprocket. This type of cable drums are recommended for single cable layer on the drum. These drums are used in vertical operation i.e., Lifting Magnet.

Sprocket Driven Cable Reeling Drums are suitable for avoiding tension on the cable. Unlike spring operated or motorised Cable reeling drum, a drive mechanism is required to drive the Sprocket Driven Cable reeling drum.
Sprocket Driven Cable reeling drum are recommended for single cable layer winding of cables on the drum. These drums are used in vertical operation such as Lifting Magnet.
