Counter Weight Gravity Limit Switches are widely used for heavy duty applications such as E.O.T. Cranes and Hoists to prevent over travel of hoisting motion on power and control circuit up to 500 VAC, 50 cycles per sec. and 40 Amps continuous current.
Counter Weight operated type Limit switch operates the control change-over contacts of motor of moving equipment when a cam moving with loads actuates the lever the weight rests on a surface of Limit switch. This turns the cam on a square shaft and operates the NO/NC change over contact elements.
